The driver of a KSRTC bus, that plies from Kadaba via Shantimugeru halted for over 30 minutes at Alankar and refused to proceed further due to overloading.
Reportedly, over 130 passengers boarded the bus at Alankar exceeding its designated capacity. Thus the driver refused to continue the journey unless half of the passengers disembarked from the bus.
This comes days after the bus, driven by the same driver had suffered a tyre burst at Kudmaru.
Meanwhile a concerned passenger contacted KSRTC’s Puttur division and following intervention of a higher officer the driver agreed to resume the journey.
