Owaisi to campaign for the JD(S)

Belagavi: AIMIM Party President Asaduddin Owaisi will be campaigning for the Janata Dal (Secular) on Tuesday. He will address rallies in Belagavi on Tuesday morning and Kagwad in the evening. He will later campaign at Talikota, Davangere and Hassan on Wednesday.

AIMIM General Secretary Latif Khan Pathan said that the Congress party had tried to stop Mr. Owaisi from extending his support to the JD(S). The party seems confident that Owaisi’s campaign will influence the voters.

Although the party had thought of contesting its candidates in the polls, it has now declared its support for the JD(S) and that it will ensure that JD(S) candidate HD Kumaraswamy will become the Chief Minister. He said that it was in the interest of Karnataka that a non-Congress non-BJP government should come to power.
