Padubidri: A case has been registered against a car owner who assaulted a toll booth staff at the Hejamadi Road toll plaza after attempting to evade paying the toll. The incident took place on August 6, and the Padubidri police have taken immediate action to apprehend the accused.

Salim, from Bantwal, allegedly drove his red car through the toll gate without paying the fee around 9:20 AM. When toll booth staff member Deekshith stopped him, Salim dangerously drove the car past, stopped further ahead, and then returned to assault Deekshith with his hands and a rod.

The assault, captured on video, has gone viral on social media.

Following the complaint lodged at the Padubidri police station, the police quickly traced the accused and apprehended him in Udupi for further legal action.
