A private bus plying from Udupi to Mangaluru veered off the road and fell into a ditch after its driver lost control of the vehicle.
The incident took place on NH 66 near Shree Brahma Baidarkala Garadi on Saturday afternoon.
Passengers on board the bus escaped with minor injuries. Hejamdai toll gate officer and other personnel rushed to the spot and got the passengers off the bus safely.
Padubidri police visited the spot.
