Padubidri: Fortune Safety Glass’ new ‘Insulated Glass’ unit to be inaugurated on Nov 20

The inauguration of the “Insulated Glass” unit of Fortune Safety Glass, a unit of Shree Devi Glass House, will be held at 11.30 am on November 20 at Padubidri Nandikur Industrial Area.

During the event, Sri Vishwaprasanna Thirtha Sripad, the seer of Sri Pejavar Matha will bless the new unit. Dr. Jerry Vincent Dias, Managing Director of Mandavi Builder & Developer, will inaugurate the ceremony, while National Council member Kumarachandra will preside over the proceedings.

M Gopal Bhat of Udupi AJ Associates, Architect Yogishchandradhar, Mangaluru CREDAI Chairman Vinod AR Pinto, Mangalore ACCA (I) Chairman Ujwal D’Souza, Mangalore Northern Sky Properties Pvt Ltd Director Kritheen Amin, Udupi ACE Technocraft Architect Ramani Hande, Udupi Ujwal Developer Managing Director Purushottam P Shetty, and Saint Gobin Glass India Pvt Ltd Regional Manager Anthony Santhosh ET, among others, will be present.

Understanding ‘Insulated Glass’

Designed to minimize heat and sound transfer, “Insulated Glass” comprises toughened or laminated glass layers separated by a dry air space and edged with aluminum. Its key benefits include regulating temperatures for warmth in cold weather and coolness during hot spells.

This specialized glass prevents moisture accumulation, ensuring durability against breakage. Withstanding weight, wind, and sunlight, and it’s soundproof, catering to diverse needs in construction, transportation, refrigeration, and specialized sectors like hospitals and airports.

Special demonstration

The inaugural event on November 20 promises an engaging demonstration where the public will be allowed to test the resilience of toughened glass by bowling cricket hardballs at glass wickets.

The public can even try to break the durable laminated glasses with the help of a hammer.

Moreover, an exhibition will showcase an array of glass innovations, including heat-strengthened glass, EVA laminated glass, bend glass, smart glass, lacquered glass, designer glass, and color laminated glass.
