Padubidri: A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a motorbike while crossing the National Highway here on Saturday.
The injured pedestrian has been identified as Sadananda Devadiga (48), a resident of Belman.
When Devadiga was crossing the National highway at Padubidri the motorbike moving to Udupi from Mangaluru knocked him down. He suffered head injuries in the incident.
After receiving first aid, he was rushed to KMC Hospital in Manipal for further treatment. The motorbike rider, Yashwanth, was also injured in the incident and is undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in Padubidri.
A case has been registered at Padubidri police station.
