Padubidri: Rs 3 Lakh robbed at gunpoint from a vegetable trader

Padubidri: A businessman has complained to the police that an armed gang robbed him at gunpoint and took away Rs 3 Lakh cash he was carrying on the evening of January 31.

Mansoor, who is engaged in vegetable trading, told Padubidri police that a gang of 8 persons wielding weapons stopped and assaulted him on the road while returning home at around 8 PM on Monday. They carried several weapons, including pistols, knives, and machetes.

The gang allegedly pointed a gun at the vendor and looted Rs 3 lakh cash he was carrying.

The complaint names the accused as Kanchinadka residents Hasan Bava, Firoz, Rehman, Nazir, Rahee, Yusuf, and Azeed from Katipalla.

The complainant, Mansoor, is receiving medical treatment at the Ajjarkad Government Hospital for the injuries sustained in the incident.
