Padubidri: Teenager killed in scooter-bus collision

Padubidri: A youngster was killed after a Bengaluru-bound bus rammed into a scooter on the national highway here on Sunday night.

the deceased has been identified as Dhanraj Palimaru (17), a resident of Palimaru Darkastu.

Dhanraj, along with Tushar Palimaru and Kaushik Yermal, were on their way from Palimaru to Yermal to watch a drama. The accident happened as the scooter was entering the highway from Karkala road.

Tushar and Kaushik escaped with minor injuries in the incident. However, Dhanraj breathed his last while being rushed to a hospital in Mukka.

The scooter was also damaged in the accident.
