Padubidri: Tipper-bike collision on NH 66 claims life of pillion rider

Padubidri: In a tipper-bike collision on NH 66 near Ucchila on Wednesday, November 16, a girl named Ayisha Nihala (18), a resident of Kanchinadka has died.

On Wednesday noon, Ayisha and a boy named Mohammed Sharif, a resident of Belapu were travelling by bike. At the autorickshaw stand on NH 66, a tipper collided with the bike from behind. At this point in time, the rear tyre struck the bike leaving pillion rider Ayisha severely injured.

The police said that Ayisha breathed her last on the way to the hospital.

However, Sharif who also suffered injuries is being treated at the district hospital in Ajjarkad.

As per the reports, Ayisha and Sharif were engaged and were about to get married in January 2023.

On Wednesday, both were on the way to purchase clothes for their marriage at Udupi, during which, the accident occurred.
