Padubidri: Worker at chicken shop killed by electrocution

Padubidri: A worker at a chicken shop was killed and another was injured due to electrocution at Padubidri on Wednesday, March 23.

The deceased has been identified as Basheer (45), a resident of Kanchinadka.

The mishap took place at Giri Chicken Centre at Padubidri at around 2.30 PM. Basheer was electrocuted when he put the chicken inside the poultry feather plucking machine. Another person who was nearby also felt the electric shock and was injured.

The injured has been shifted to a hospital for further treatment.

Basheer is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.

A case has been registered at Padubadri police station regarding the incident.
