Panambur: Fire mishap leaves one worker dead

A fire broke out during welding activities at a company situated in the Bykampady industrial area on January 13.
Six workers were engaged in welding near an oil tank when tragedy struck. Renold Paul, who was positioned atop the tank, suffered severe burns as the flames engulfed him. Subsequently, Paul plummeted 20 feet from the tank.
Despite immediate hospitalization, the treatment proved futile, leading to his untimely demise.
The Panambur police station has registered a case in connection with the incident.
Urgent Search for Missing Woman in Panambur
In a separate and concerning development in Panambur, 53-year-old Radha has gone missing from her residence at 62 Thokur since January 9. Radha, grappling with mental illness for the past 12 years, was undergoing treatment. Her sudden disappearance was discovered by her son and daughter upon returning from work. Despite a diligent search, there is no trace of Radha.
The distressed family has filed a complaint at the Panambur police station, seeking assistance in locating their missing loved one. Radha is described as having a fair complexion and is wearing a green and red mixed nylon saree with a black blouse. She communicates in Kannada, Tulu language.
