Pandeshwar: 6 houses damaged in a fire mishap

Mangaluru: In a fire mishap that took place at Doomappa Compound in Pandeshwar on Saturday night has damaged 6 houses and caused losses worth lakhs. However, there have been no causalities in the incident.

This compound has 9 houses under a single roof and hence 6 houses have suffered considerable damage. The roof of the houses belonging to Srinivas, Prakash Acharya, Kartikeyen, Ashok, Bhagyashri and Govindan has mostly burnt away.

The incident occurred around 8 pm in the night and the fire personnel rushed to the location and doused the fire successfully.

MLA Vedavyas Kamath visited the location and informed that he has directed the Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil to provide temporary alternative facility to the affected people and the DC has assured his assistance.
