Panemangalore: Man jumps to death in Netravati river

Panemangalore: A man committed suicide by jumping into the Netravati River near Panemangalore on Thursday, June 2.
The deceased has been identified as Monappa (65), a resident of Narikombu village. He was working as a water pump operator in the village.
The reason for the victim to take this extreme step is yet to ascertained.
As per sources, the locals who saw Monappa jumping into the river tried to save him, however, he had breathed his last by the time found him.
Bantwal police have registered a case in this regard.
