Panemangaluru mass suicide: Youth’s body found near Talipadu

Bantwal: Two days after three members of a family committed suicide by plunging into the Netravati river from Panemanagaluru bridge here, the dead body of the 30-year-old youth was recovered from near Talipadpu of Sajipa Munnuru village here on Tuesday, October 1.

The youth Kaushik Mandanna, his sister Kalpita Mandanna (20) and mother Kavita Mandanna (56), natives of Virajpet had jumped into the river at around 11.30 pm on Saturday night. While Kavita’s body was found within few hours of the incident, that of Kalpita was recovered on Sunday afternoon from near Innoli of Konaje.

Kaushik’s dead body was spotted floating in the river by few locals who notified the police immediately. A team of fire service and NDRF personnel arrived at the spot and recovered the body. Later it was sent to Mangaluru for other procedures
