Paramours critical after attempting suicide at Kodi beach

Kundapura: Two persons were admitted to the government hospital here after they attempted suicide at Kodi beach after consuming poison on Sunday, March 15. Their condition is said to be critical condition.

The duo has been identified as Pavitra (32) and Ramesh Kumar (45) from Bengaluru.

Ramesh is married and has two children, so is Pavitra. Both fell in love which created disputes in their families.

Pavitra’s husband left home after which she and Ramesh came to Kodi beach and attempted the suicide. Locals on the beach saw them struggling to breathe and admitted them to the government hospital.

Due to their condition physicians at the hospital recommended them to be taken to Manipal’s Kasturba. Meanwhile, Pavitra’s relative came and took her to Wenlock hospital at Mangaluru and Ramesh’s relatives arrived later in the evening and took him to Manipal.
