Parents sweep K’taka Minister’s street in B’luru, seek to reduce school fees

Bengaluru: Members of Karnataka Private School Parent Organisation Coordinating Committee took to sweeping the street in front of state Education Minister S Suresh Kumar’s residence and sought a meeting regarding reduction of school fees.
They demanded that schools must reduce the fees as several of them are facing financial difficulty and that Minister Suresh Kumar has not called a single meeting with the parents to discuss the issue.
As reported by News Minute, The parents have further threatened that they perform a hunger strike if the minister doesn’t respond to them. During the demonstration, some parents were detained and taken to the Byadarahalli police station.
