Parked boat catches fire at Malpe

Udupi: In a shocking incident, a parked boat at Malpe Port caught fire on Tuesday night.

With the help of nearby Fire Brigade, the fire was doused off without creating much harm.

Due to timely help, the nearby boats which were parked next to the boat were shifted. Hence a major disaster was averted.

Locals suspect short circuit to be the reason of fire.

Further investigation is on.
