Parliament staff to get a fashion makeover – To be seen in new uniforms!

The staff of the Indian parliament are in for a fashion makeover with new uniforms reportedly being approved.

According to ANI, employees of the Parliament will soon be seen in new uniforms for their respective departments, from the five-day special session of Parliament. The session begins on September 18.

All staff, including Chamber Attendants, Officers, Security personnel, Drivers, and Marshals, will be donning the new uniforms for their respective departments.

According to reports the uniforms have been designed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

As per the new dress code, Marshals in Parliament will be seen in cream-colored kurtas and Manipuri turbans. A new design of sarees has been adopted for female staff. The PGD (Parliamentary Guard Directorate), which oversees the security of Parliament,

Bureaucrats will wear Majenta or deep pink Nehru jackets with deep pink hue shirts featuring lotus flower designs.
