A celestial spectacle is set to grace the night sky as a partial/lateral lunar eclipse is anticipated in the intervening night of October 28 and 29.
Starting at approximately 1:05 am and concluding at 2:20 am, this eclipse will be visible throughout the state, including Mangaluru. Observing enthusiasts are offered the opportunity to witness this captivating event at the Pilikula Regional Science Center in Mangaluru starting from 7:30 pm onwards on Saturday.
The night promises more than just the lunar eclipse, as Jupiter, Saturn, and the Moon will be visible through telescopes. Moreover, the center’s knowledgeable staff will be on hand to provide insights on star and constellation identification as well as eclipse-related information.
Also, due to the lunar eclipse, there will be no dinner served at Shrikrishna Math in Udupi on Saturday. Although the daily pooja times and devotee darshan on October 28 will remain unchanged, there will be no food offered to devotees on the eclipse night as Swamiji observes a fast.
