Bengaluru: After the Mahalaya Amavasya, the political parties plan to finalise their bypoll candidates.
Addressing the media, BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa said that they will be taking consents from senior party leaders to form the list of candidates for the byelections to Shivamogga, Ballari and Mandya Lok Sabha seats as well for Jamakhandi and Ramanagara.
The Congress party will also be holding meetings from Wednesday and discuss the candidates list for upcoming bypolls.
The Congress may not field candidates in Ramanagara Assembly and Mandya Lok Sabha seats due to a pre-poll alliance with the JD(S).
Similarly, the JD(S) is set to reciprocate by supporting the Congress in Jamakhandi Assembly in addition to Shivamogga and Ballari Lok Sabha polls.
However, Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is said to have been selected for Ramanagara constituency.
