Parts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi receive moderate rains

Several parts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received slight rain on Wednesday, March 16.
Beltangady, Mundaje, and Dharmasthala area received good rains around 5 am on Wednesday. While, Navoor, Sarapady, Uli and Mani areas of Bantwal taluk received slight drizzle.
Kabaka of Puttur, Subaramanya, Kalmakaru, Harihara Pallathadka and Ainekidu also received moderate rains. According to the weather forecast, moderate rains will continue for next two days in the twin districts.
Thunder and lightning accompanied the good rain in Beltangady taluk, which lasted from 2 am to 5 am, and trenches that were previously dry due to the heat were filled with water. The rainfall continued from 5 am to 9 am in Mundaje, Thotattadi, Nada, Laila, Ujire, Kalmanja, and Dharmasthala.
Meanwhile, Udupi’s city areas saw five minutes of drizzle, but the rest of the day was marked by simmering heat, as the morning’s cloudy weather cleared up.
