Passenger launch stuck at Sharavati backwaters amid heavy rainfall

Shimoga: A launch carrying people is stuck in the backward areas near Hulidevaraya Bana due to a windstorm on Wednesday, August 6.
The launch was ferrying people and vehicles towards HB Cross in Hosanagara. However, due to the story rain, the launch is stuck in the backwaters.
It is gathered that few cars, a cylinder truck, and over 50 passengers are stuck in the launch.
The localities are trying to tie a rope to the launch and pull it towards the shore. In case, if they are unable to pull it, they will pull the launch using a crane.
