The PayCM poster campaign has now spread to Dakshina Kannada with posters being spotted at public places in Belthangady district.

The posters were found pasted at public places in Ujjire, Dharmasthala bus station in the wee hours of September 24. It is gathered that the campaign here has been started on the advice of senior Congress leaders. Party workers have also been sharing the posters put up at spots frequented by the public on social media.

The state Congress has been trying to rake up the issue of contractor Santosh Patil’s death and target Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over corruption charges. The PayCM QR code bearing the photograph of the Chief Minister gets directed to a website – ‘40% Sarkara’ – accusing the Bommai-led BJP government was charging 40 per cent commission on public works.
