Pejawar Seer gets X security cover

Udupi: The Karnataka government has approved X security cover for Pejawar seer Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swami.

The seer happens to be one of the members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust that is tasked with monitoring the construction Ram Temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat had requested the government to grant him security cover in the backdrop of frequent trips being undertaken by the seer in connection with the Ayodhya Temple construction.

Pejawar seer thanked Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai and MLA Raghupathi Bhat for the gesture.
