People in Turkey and Bulgaria tie jackets on trees for the poor during winter, Indians are not behind

New Delhi: Winters are right around the corner and there is no doubt, that is the most difficult and harsh weather. Especially for the homeless people in places situated in higher altitudes like North India, Bulgaria and Turkey to name a few.

Just like Santa brings gifts on Christmas, similarly, good-hearted people in a lot of these countries have found ways to help the homeless survive during winters. We came across a tweet of Harsh Goenka which showed people in Bulgaria and Turkey had tied zero-degree jackets on trees for the homeless people to keep them warm in the harsh weather.

This initiative makes our hearts warm too.

We also came across a bakery in Turkey that gives out bread for free to the needy.

On the same Twitter thread, a lot of people tweeted about similar initiatives that happen in different parts of India throughout the year. There is a concept called, ‘Wall of Kindness’ that is spread all across India. People of different states hang clothes, shoes, stuff toys, everything that you can think of on these walls for the homeless.

Coimbatore has a vending machine that allows people to drop off stuff and lets the needy and homeless take whatever they need.

This is the best thing that we have seen in a long long time.
