Bengaluru: The Outdoor Advertising Association members protested outside the Town Hall here today.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has banned all commercial hoardings or any such promotions of banners outdoors.
Hundereds of people protested against the ‘Outdoor Signage and Public Messaging Bylaws -2018’ raised by the BBMP
The association said that around 5 lakh people are employed in this job. The BBMP has drafted new bylaws without consulting the stakeholders,” said AC Chikkanna, president, Karnataka Dalitha Industrialist Federation.
The members also claimed that there is a ‘hidden agenda’ behind bringing the blanket ban.
The Association said that they will go on indefinite strike if the BBMP fails to agree to their demands.
