Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka granted permission to Mohammed Nalapad, son of MLA N.A. Haris, to visit Mecca and Medina, as part of his pilgrimage.
However, the court made it clear to Mohammed that he should complete his pilgrimage between May 15 and June 6 and he should submit all necessary documents, including air tickets and other itinerary details of his stay in Saudi Arabia during his pilgrimage.
Recently, Mohammed had approached the court seeking a relaxation of his bail conditions, which included not leaving the city without permission from the trial court.
Mohammed is accused in a case of assault and alleged attempt to murder a 24-year-old Vidvat, the son of a businessman, at a restaurant in February 2018.
