Perth: The second test between India and Australia has already begun in Perth as host Australia won the toss and decided to bat first.

Visitors India have already registered a historic win in the 1st test played at Adelaide and are looking to repeat the same in the second test. Indian batsman Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin are out of the squad as they are injured themselves in the first test.

Australia was off to a great start with both opening batsmen – Marcus Harris and Aaron Finch – scoring a half century. The duo put on a 112 runs partnership which saw Marcus scoring his maiden half-century in international cricket.

Bumrah gave a breakthrough for India by taking the wicket of Finch. Aussie batsman Khawaja got out off Umesh Yadav’s delivery and his bad form with the bat continued. Marcus Harris was dismissed by Indian allrounder Hanuma Vihari, Aussie batsman Handscomb also failed to build a partnership as he was dismissed by Ishant Sharma. Shaun Marsh and Travis Head gave an 84 runs stand for the 5th wicket. Both the batsman scored a fifty each and finally Marsh was dismissed by Vihari and Head was dismissed by Ishant Sharma.

At the end of the day’s play Australia scored 277 runs for 6 wickets. Skipper Tim Paine and Pat Cummins will be at the crease for tomorrow’s play. Indian seamers bowled very well as they picked four wickets among them and Hanuma Vihari picked two crucial wickets.
