Pick up illegally transporting cattle, topples in Peruvai

Vitla: A pick-up truck which was illegally transporting cattle to Kerala toppled in Peruvai village after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Two cows died on the spot in this incident which took place on Saturday midnight.

The vehicle was illegally transporting cows to an abattoir in Kerala through Peruvai road. Observing that the people were suspicious of his nefarious purposes, the driver of the vehicle increased the speed of his vehicle. As a result the vehicle hit a rock and toppled near Keduvaru Bridge at Peruvai. The culprits escaped even before the localities reached the scene.
