The highly anticipated ‘Netravati-Falguni’ Jodukare Kambala, scheduled to take place in Pilikkula on November 17 and 18 after a decade-long gap, is likely to be postponed due to the upcoming Mudushedde Panchayat elections.
The election for the member positions in the Mudushedde Gram Panchayat, located within the Pilikula area, has been scheduled for November 23.
Given the timing, local officials and public representatives will be unavailable to attend the Kambala event. Consequently, a meeting will be held on November 11 between the district administration and the Kambala organizing committee to make a final decision on the event’s schedule.
In the event of a postponement, discussions have already begun regarding the possibility of organizing a preliminary Kudi Kambala on November 17. The final date for the main Kambala event will be decided after consultation with the elected officials and Kambala committee leaders.
Speaking with Udayavani, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Santosh Kumar confirmed that the Kambala event in Pilikkula would have to be postponed due to the Panchayat elections. He added that after discussions with the legislators and Kambala committee officials, a new date would be finalized.
