Plaint against Tejasvi Surya for violating lockdown norms

Bengaluru: An RTI activist has alleged Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya of violating lockdown norms by dining in at a hotel on Nrupatunga Road on Tuesday.

In his complaint, filed with Halasuru Gate police station, the activist Vijay Dennis said that though hotels and restaurants are allowed only takeaway as per the lockdown guidelines, the BJP MP Tejasvi Surya was reported to be seen dining with singer Vijay Prakashat Hotel Nisarga Grand here on Tuesday.

“This is a violation of the lockdown and the MP should be booked and an FIR lodged under the NDMA Act and IPC,” he alleged in the complaint.

It is gathered that the police are yet to register an FIR in the matter.
