Plan to eliminate Salman Khan; police arrest sharpshooter

Chandigarh: An attempt to eliminate Bollywood actor Salman Khan was uncovered by the Faridabad police following the arrest of a sharpshooter hired by the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Rahul alias Sanga aka Baba, 27, was arrested on August 15 in connection with another murder case. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that gangster Bishnoi had directed Rahul to eliminate Salman Khan.

Accordingly, Rahul had visited Mumbai earlier in January and conducted a recce of Salman Khan’s house and his movements for three days. The gang however could not execute the plan further owing to the coronavirus outbreak.

Bishnoi, who is lodged in a Rajasthan jail wanted to eliminate Khan for his acquittal in the blackbuck case and the gang is said to have issued death threats to the actor on earlier occasions too.
