Bengaluru: Karnataka has no plans to clamp any kind of lockdown as of now but will be extending night curfew to few more districts informed Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Bommai requested the people to fully cooperate with the efforts of the State Government in implementing the Covid containment guidelines and strictly adhere to the norms of compulsory wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and sanitization.

He further added, “We are planning to extent night curfew to few more districts in the state and those coming from Maharashtra will be closely monitored.”

“Lockdowns during the weekends or any other action to contain the pandemic will depend on the situation,’’ he said pointing out that the State Government was hopeful of containing the spread of the pandemic with the cooperation and support of the people.
