Bantwal: In the backdrop of a man being arrested by Delhi police in connection with the plot to kill pro Hindutva leaders, the security cover given to the leaders has increased. RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, who earlier had one gunman, now has the security cover of three gunmen.
On Jan 10th itself, Dr Bhat was taken to a safe location under strong security cover in Bengaluru. On Jan 14, Bhat participated at a religious function at Kalladka and soon after the programme was concluded he went back to Bengaluru. Precautionary measures were taken along the route from Mangaluru international Airport at Bajpe to his destination and back.
Speaking with Udayavani, Dr Bhat said that he is against anyone who disgraces the religion or cheats. It is my duty to warn hindus; in the future too I’ll continue doing this. I will not stop from doing my duty by fearing miscreants.
“In the backdrop of threat to my life, police have taken serious action. I am now within the protection of Bengaluru police. If I had 1 gunman earlier, now the government has provided me with 3 gunmen. There is police security provided around the house compound. There police security at my house in Kalladka as well. No decision has been taken regarding the future,” said Dr Prabhakar Bhat.
