PM Modi and Shinzo Abe jointly launched the Bullet Train

Ahmedabad: PM Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe launched the work of India’s First Bullet Train with a press of a button here today.
The Launch of India’s first ever Bullet Train project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai which is expected to be completed by 2022 was held at the Athletic Stadium near the Sabarmati railway station.
Adressing the event, PM Narendra Modi said, “No country can grow unless it has a goal. Today, India has taken a big step in that direction. He congratulated all 125 crore people of India on the inauguration of the country’s first bullet train. Bullet train will lead to great development and great technology” he added.
“Entire area between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will come in a single economic zone, some people are asking me why the bullet train project was brought to India. Economic development has a direct relation with productivity” said Modi.
