PM Modi to inaugurate AB Vajpayee Road, 6 ft tall Atal statue at Vijayapura

Vijayapura: Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video link will be inaugurating naming of a road and installation of a statue of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary on December 25.

The 400 kilograms, 6 feet bronze statue of Vajpayee was made in Jaipur, Rajasthan and will be installed on a 6-foot tall ramp.

The statue and the ramp were built at a cost of Rs 6.5 lakhs and Rs 2.8 lakhs respectively. The expenses were borne by the former minister in Vajpayee’s cabinet and presently BJP MLA from Vijayapura Basangouda Patil Yatnal.

This statue will be the second-largest statue of Vajpayee in the country after the one in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
