PM Modi to visit Maharashtra, Karnataka and TN today

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi will embark on a visit to Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu on January 19.

In Solapur, Maharashtra, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for 8 AMRUT projects valued at approximately Rs. 2,000 crores. Additionally, he will dedicate over 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban and kickstart the distribution of 1st and 2nd instalments to 10,000 PM-SVANIDHI beneficiaries, said an official release by Prime Minister’s office.

In Bengaluru, Karnataka, the focus will be on innovation, as the Prime Minister inaugurates the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center campus, a Rs. 1,600 crore investment, Boeing’s largest outside the USA. He will also launch the Boeing Sukanya Program, fostering opportunities for girls and women in STEM fields and aviation.

Moving to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Modi will be the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony of the 6th Khelo India Youth Games 2023. Over 5600 athletes will participate across 26 sporting disciplines, including traditional sports like Kalaripayattu and Silambam. The Games, being held in South India for the first time, symbolize the PM’s commitment to grassroots sports development.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and launch projects worth Rs. 250 crore in the broadcasting sector, including the revamped DD Podhigai channel as DD Tamil, 12 Akashvani FM projects, and 4 DD transmitters in Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Itinerary on January 19:

Solapur, Maharashtra:

  • 10:45 AM: Inauguration and foundation stone-laying for 8 AMRUT projects worth Rs. 2,000 crores.
  • Dedication of over 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban in Maharashtra.
  • Dedication of 15,000 houses of Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur.
  • Kickstarting distribution of 1st and 2nd installments to 10,000 PM-SVANIDHI beneficiaries.

Bengaluru, Karnataka:

  • 2:45 PM: Inauguration of Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) in Bengaluru.
  • Launch of Boeing Sukanya Program to support girls entering the aviation sector.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu:

  • 6:00 PM: Participation in the opening ceremony of Khelo India Youth Games 2023 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
  • Launch and foundation stone-laying for broadcasting projects worth Rs. 250 crore.
