Chamarajanagar: In preparation for the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Bandipur, the Deputy Commissioner of Chamarajanagar, D.S. Ramesh, has issued orders to temporarily suspend public safaris on the tiger reserve from April 6 to 9.
Members of the public are prohibited from staying in homestays, resorts, and lodges in the vicinity of the Bandipur Tiger Reserve during the same period, the order said.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Bandipur on April 9 to mark the completion of 50 years of the Tiger Reserve in Gundlupet taluk. As a result, necessary steps have to be taken to ensure road maintenance, security arrangements, and other preparedness, Deputy Commissioner added.
