Udupi/Kasargod: Nearly a fortnight after a POSCO accused jumped into the sea, in a bid to escape the police, his body was found ashore Udupi beach on Wednesday, August 5 morning.

The deceased Mahesh was accused of recording the video of a minor girl while bathing.

On July 22 Mahesh was brought to Kasargod port, with police escort to recover the smartphone used in recording the video. He however escaped from police hands by jumping into the sea.

Though a search operation was launched for him it was called off due to stormy weather conditions.

Mahesh’s body was identified through the clothes and the handcuffs that were found on his hands.
