POCSO: Man rapes teenage daughter

Bantwal: A man, who is a driver by profession, has been accused of raping his daughter according to a complaint lodged by his 17-year-old daughter from Manchi in Bantwal taluk.

The complaint states that the accused had raped her on multiple occasions including twice at hope and once at a lodge at Melkar.

The accused man was earlier staying at Panemangaluru and since a few years, has been a resident of Manchi. Sources inform that the daughter is of his second wife, while the man has married four times. The victim had lodged a complaint with Ullal police a week ago accusing her brother-in-law of the crime. Eventually, she revealed that she was raped by her father after she was provided counseling by the Child Helpline personnel.

A case has been registered under the POCSO Act.
