Polar bears may go extinct by 2100 if global warming continues: Study

According to a recent study, nearly all the polar bears could disappear by 2100 if global warming continues.
A team of scientists from various universities published the study in the journal Nature Climate Change
Researchers claim shrinking sea ice would force bears onto land and keep them away from hunting seals for longer periods
Prolonged fasting periods have been linked to reduced body condition, reproduction and survival in some polar bear populations. Even if emissions are cut dramatically and warming is held to just under 2°C, most of the bear groups will still be pushed beyond their physical limit
