Police arrest 2; seize 42 kg ganja

Mangaluru: Based on definite information from a credible source, two persons were arrested by the city police for possession of ganja. The police also seized 42 kgs of ganja worth Rs. 7.56 lakh.

The arrested have been identified as Rajeev A P, 48, from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and Abdul Rahim, 26, from Bantwal. Another accused Shafi alias Kalandhar Shafi is absconding.

During the operation, the police also seized an autorickshaw valued Rs. 80,000, a motorcycle valued at Rs. 40,000, two mobile phones and four luggage bags which contained the ganja. The total value of the seized items in Rs. 8,78,500.
