Police arrest another accused in Puttur shootout incident

Puttur: Based on the information provided by Sadiq, the prime accused in the Puttur shootout case, police on Monday, December 2 arrested yet another person.

Guruprasanna Rao (28), a resident of Bantwal is the arrested person. Police also confiscated the weapon used for the crime from Kudthapalke in Nekkilady village.

On November 26 Sadiq along with his associates had shot at Abdul Khader (35) and fled the scene.

Hours after the incident police arrested Abdul Haneef from near Gundya post. The prime accused Sadiq alias Blade Sadiq was arrested on November 30 and is in police custody.

Arrested Guruprasanna was produced before a court and was remanded to judicial custody till December 11.

The accused had hatched the conspiracy in a hotel in Vittal.
