Police arrest Bodo Terrorist in Raybag of Belgavi

Belagavi: A member of banned organisation, National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was arrested at a sugar mill in Yadrava village of Raybag taluk on Wednesday. The accused, Pusna Phirlang Basumatharai arrested in a joint operation by Assam and Karnataka police. The arrested was produced before the court and handed over to Assam police for further investigation.
The arrested had joined NDFB and undergone 8 months training in Myanmar to handle modern weapons. Most of his group members were killed by the Indian security forces in an encounter held October last year. He arrived at Raybag along with Assam laborers around 1.5 month back and started working as a daily worker at a sugar mill here. The Assam police obtained information on his presence in Raybag and carried out an operation with the local police to catch the accused. He wasn’t involved with any terror activities in Karnataka after his arrival, said SP Ravikanthe Gowda.
