Police arrest four in connection with Bantwal attacks

Bantwal: Police arrested four in connection with the attack led on a tulu film actor on June 11 here.

The accused are Deepak (27) from Panjikallu Kajebail, Pavan (26) from B C Road Agrabail, as well as Shailesh (26) and Ranjith (25) from B C Road.

The four have been produced in the court here on Wednesday, they were remanded to judicial custody. 

However the main accused, Surendra Bantwal, and his accomplices, Tilak, Manohar, Pradeep, and Sathish, are said to be absconding.  

The arrested men had extended financial assistance to the accused and also provided them facility to hide after the crime, police said.
