Mangaluru: City police arrested six persons in connection with a recent murder case.

Melrick D’Souza (21) was brutally murdered at his doorsteps on Christmas day.

The accused have been identified as Nishank Poojary (28), Vinesh Kumar (30), Sachin Shetty (22), Ganesh Kulal (34), Praveen Poojary (42) and Sandeep Shetty (33).

Police have arrested all the accused and recovered five sharp weapons, a motorcycle and mobile phones from their possession.

Melrick was arrested last year in connection to the murder attempt of Sandeep Shetty who was a close aide of Bannanje Raja at Marnamikatte. He was released from jail just two days before his murder.

It has been reported that Nishank is old enemy of Melrick. Sandeep Shetty is the main conspirator and arranged Nishank and other four persons to kill Melrick.
