Police arrest three, recover 15 stolen bikes

Mangaluru: Ullal police arrested three persons involved in a series of vehicle thefts and confiscated 15 stolen bikes valuing Rs 20 lakh from their possession here on Wednesday.

Shahir, 23, from Manjeshwara; Mohammed Adil, 26, from Uppala and Abdul Munavar, 21, from Kasaragod are the arrested persons.

Upon questioning, the trio confessed to thefts of two-wheelers including Royal Enfield motorbikes from various places under the Mangaluru City Commissionerate. 

They had stolen four motorbikes from Ullal police station limits, six motorbikes in Mangaluru South police station limits, two motorbikes in Mangaluru North police station limits, two motorbikes under Urwa police station and one motorbike in Mangaluru East limits.
