Police Beef up Security in Sensitive Kodagu District Ahead of Tipu Jayanti

Madikeri: Elaborate security arrangements have been made in sensitive Kodagu district ached of Tipu Jayanti to be celebrated on November 10 across Karnataka to mark the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan.

Southern range IGP Vipul Kumar visited Madikeri and held meeting with police officers of Kodagu district at SP office. IGP reportedly asked to take strict action against those who try to break peace during Tipu Jayanti celebrations.

Kodagu district Superintendent of Police Rajendraprasad visited as many as 10 check posts which shares boarders with neighboring districts including Wayanad, Kannur, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan and Mysuru and has asked the police to beef up the security near the check points.
