Police bust pick pocket racket; eight accused arrested

Bengaluru: Police busted two gangs of robbers and arrested eight people involved in various cases here. 

The accused used to pick pockets of passengers using Majestic bus stand and carry out house thefts.

Police in raid arrested six people and recovered Rs 3 lakh in cash and gold valuables worth Rs 37.65 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Venkatesh (39), Lakshmi (30), Manukaumar (29) Bhagyamma (50), Manja (24) Amjad (30).

The accused used to pick pockets and steal valuables from women’s hand bags mostly in Majestic area.
