Mysuru: A high-tech prostitution racket, being carried on under the garb of a yoga center was busted by the Mysuru police on Thursday.
Following up on data received by Odanadi Sanstha, Devraj police staff conducted the raid at the center situated at Ramavilas Road in the city and arrested three people. Seven women, of Bangladeshi origin who were forced into flesh trade, were saved during the operation. But the prime accused Mahesh managed to escape from the scene.
Local people, who were uninformed of the activities happening in the place were stunned to see that prostitution was being carried out inside, which they believed was a yoga center.
Apparently, young women from neighboring states, for example, Maharashtra and Kerala were being trafficked and were pushed into prostitution here.
